Calling all family-famous chili makers and goodie bakers!

Be sure to pass along our sign up sheet to friends and family known for their cooking skills. This is all for a great cause and we’re really wanting to making our CES PTA Fall Carnival a great hangout for the whole family.
The Fall Carnival is such a great tradition, one we’ve shared and heard so many stories of past events, and without our PTA volunteers it just doesn’t happen. So let’s get together and make it great!

Thank you so much to all of you that immediately signed up. Please note our times changed to adjust our event to fit with other local happenings that we know no one wants to miss!!!

We are having a GREAT school year and it is really flying by!

First off: thank you so much to those that attended our first general meeting. YAY! Great turnout, guys. There were a lot of wonderful discussions and issues that were raised and the PTA board is hard at work on seeing what resources and solutions we can apply. We’ll soon have a page on this site that will have the minutes of all the meetings and links to blog posts by board members for updates. Parents and members alike are encouraged to visit here often and peruse the latest happenings in your PTA.

Next, and this is TIME SENSITIVE! Our PTA-hosted FALL CARNIVAL is on October 29th, 2 weeks away(!), and we will be asking for last-minute volunteers like you wouldn’t believe! Families, friends, and community members are asked to peruse the SignMeUp link (at the top of the page under FALL CARNIVAL). If you can pitch in please sign up! If you know a friend or neighbor that may have some free time for our school, have them contact us! Bakers, hopefully some chili makers, painters, ticket sellers, craftsty folk, friendly faces to run the booths/games, and definitely those that love to hang lights & decor are needed. Contact us if you know an old-fashioned, bluegrass-style acoustic band or group to play a couple sets between the, “Monster Mash,” classics!

This really helps us coordinate what our community can provide for this year’s Carnival. We anticipate a fairly laid-back Fall Carnival this year as our PTA is focusing on organizing and updating outreach and fundraising. That said, come one come all and you can look forward to good music, a nice and relaxed and SHELTERED place to bring the whole family and play games, get some grub, hang out and have FUN!!!
